I'm sure you will like this steamed Idli with Hot Sambar and some nice coconut chutney but here I have something more a nice spicy onion and hot red chilli chutney and Idli Podi. So go on yaar its your day and why to wait a lot... what do you need more yaah! Exactly nice piping hot tea to go well with this so Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  1. Idli Rice  --  2 glass ukda rice
  2. Jeera Type Rice  --  1 cup
  3. Urad dal  --  1/3 cup
  4. Methi Seeds/ fenugreek seeds  --  1tsp
  5. Salt to taste
Method:
  • Soak together Idli Rice and Jeera type rice together in a bow and soak urad dal and methi seed together in another bowl atleast for four to six hours and grind to paste. Leave it to ferment.
  • Now when the batter has fermented nicely add salt to taste and then its ready to use.
  • Now you have to steam these into idlis so grease the idli vessel and then pour spoon full of batter to it and steam it for about 15 minutes.
  • Now when its done take it out and sprinkle some cool water to it and remove it with a spoon.
