1.  What if your curry has too much of salt?  --  Either put a half potato to the curry and cook for a while or         put a lemon sized wheat dough to the curry and boil for some time they will help to reduce the salt in the   curry.


2.  Does your Dosa role in pan when you make it?  --  This happens mainly --> if your tawa is overheated, so keep the flame in medium and then grease the tawa with just little oil using a cloth or with half onion cut.


3.  Over spicy and strong flavour of garam masala  --> Add a pinch sugar to it to balance the spices.



4.  For Chinese flavour  --> Keep the flame high throughout the recipe after you add the sauces just tilt the kadai carefully and let the high flame come into the dish this will give you the perfect chinese flavour.




5.  How to store green chillies for many days  -->Remove the stem of green chillies and keep in nice clean container in refrigerator, this will remain for more than 15 days.


6.  While grinding coconut chutney for dosas and ildlys add some broken channa dal it will make the chutney tasty as well as healthy.

7.  While making french fries at home soak the cut potatoes in salt water
before frying.

8.  Add little glycerine to cake batter to make it more soft and fluffy.

9.  To remove worms from cauliflower soak the cauliflower florest in hot water, and turmric or use white vinegar.

10.  After boiling hakka noodles strain it quickly add 1 tbsp of refined oil and mix well to prevent it from sticking.

11.  If you get any fresh honey from the bee hive after its extracted properly store it in a tight bottle with three or four whole black pepper in it. This will prevent it from crystallising.

12.  To quickly peel your boiled potatoes just put the whole boiled potatoes in the ice water and peel it will become easy.

13. To keep the cauliflower colour white in any of your recipe add a little milk while cooking them.

14.  To retain green colour in leafy vegetables add a pinch of sugar to it.

15.  Rub a little oil on the edge of the pot so that it doesn't spill out while boiling.

16.  While making recipes out of curd do not add yoghurt directly to the boiling dish when the flame is high it will curdle and spoil the recipe. Either switch off the gas or cook in low flame.

17.  To remove broken egg shells in any batter or such use other half to attract the pieces.

18.  Store lemons in a tight jar filled with water they will give better amount of juice.

19.  If you want to store bread for longer time add a celery stem to the bread package.

20.  If guest are coming and you are busy with your cooking to make the house smell fresh just heat a small kadai and add about one teaspoon of coffee powder to it and roast it till nice roasted smell comes out don't worry even if it burns. Your house will smell divine.

21.  When making chaklis for your festivals keep in mind fry chaklis keeping the flame low and do not over fry them. Remove when they become light gold colour or else your chakli will taste very odd. They will be soft when taking out of oil let them cool naturally they will become crispy and then store in tight containers.

22.  If you cannot store milk in refrigerator add half teaspoon of soda bicarbonate to milk it will not spoil.

23.  Potatoes and onions should not be stored together. Potatoes will get rotten quickly.

25.  To avoid tears while chopping onions peel them and keep it in iced water or freeze it for few minutes.

26.  If you have left over bread then make bread crumbs out of them and then keep it in fridge use them to make cutlets.

27.  If you want to carry boiled eggs for your journey do not peel the boiled eggs carry them as it is and then peel just before you have them.

28.  Store apples and potatoes together potatoes will not bud.

29.  Clean the grapes with fresh water an keep them in salt water for half and hour. Then drain off the water and wash them again before eating it.

30.  While frying cashews and raisins for biryanis or desserts first fry the cashews when they turn light brown at last add the raisins when the raisins fluffs quickly take it out or it will taste sour.

31.  To make fluffy oft egg omelette add about one tablespoon of milk while beating eggs.

32.  To make very soft chapatis add about one banana and make the dough.
