I had first tasted this dish in a wedding as a starter and since then I wished to try it out once but what to do I didn't got enough time for it... Now finally I made it and though its my first attempt its superb and yummy... that's what my family said... so here's it
Ingredients:
- Boiled Potatoes -- 4
- Boiled Green Peas -- 1 cup
- Carrot grated -- 1/2 cup
- Grated Cabbage -- 1/2 cup
- Capsicum chopped finely -- 1/4th cup
- Grated garlic -- 4 cloves
- Turmeric -- 1/2 tsp
- Curry Powder -- 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice -- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves -- few leaves
- cornflour -- 2 tbsp mixed in 1/4th cup water.
- vermicelli -- 2 cups
- Oil to deep fry
Method:
- Mash the boiled potatoes, cooked green peas, grated carrots and cabbage, capsicum, garlic, turmeric, curry powder and lemon juice along with salt to taste and chopped coriander leaves, mix everything together.
- Make balls out of the mixture and give it the shape you like... it can be flatted round, or heart, or just like the one I have made its your wish.
- Now heat the oil in a deep kadai and check when its right hot do not let it smoke.
- Next dip the cutlets in cornflour batter and then roll it n vermicelli and deep fry them.
- Serve it hot with chutney.
NOTE: ANOTHER VARIETY IS YOU CAN STUFF CHEESE CUBES AND GIVE IT A ROUND SHAPE AND CONTINUE THE RECIPE.. YOU CAN ENJOY MELTING OOZING CHEESE SURPRISE!
