A regular style chicken gravy... Spicy, hot and has that perfect taste which goes well with any Indian bread.

Ingredients:
- Chicken -- 1 kg
- Onions -- 2 sliced
- Tomatoes -- 2 big sliced
- Ginger and Garlic crushed -- 1tablespoon
- Black Pepper crushed -- 1tsp
- Green Chillies -- 3 slit
- Turmeric powder -- 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder -- 1 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder -- 3tsp
- Garam masala powder -- 1/2 tsp
- Chotti Elaichi/Green Cardamoms -- 2 crushed
- Curd/Yoghurt -- 2 tablespoon
- Oil -- 2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves and coriander leaves to garnish.
Method:
- Marinate the chicken with a little of turmeric, a little of chilli powder and a little of coriander powder from the above mentioned quantity. Just add half of the above mentioned quantity.
- Add curd, crushed pepper, crushed green cardamoms and salt to chicken and marinate it well for about 4 hours.
- Now heat the kadai and add oil. When the oil is really hot add the sliced onions and saute well.
- Now add the ginger and garlic paste and saute well.
- Now add the green chillies and saute till its nicely done.
- Next add the tomatoes, and rest of the masalas i.e, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and saute well till the oil separates.
- Now its time to add that marinated gorgeous chicken mix it well till all the masala is coated nicely in chicken.
- Lower the flame and let it cook slowly. Put the lid and cook.
- Do not add water to the chicken it will have correct consistency of gravy.
- You can take off the lid and saute in high flame for about 2-3 minutes.
- Check for salt and add if needed.
- Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatis, rotis or rice.
