Today I am posting a delicious and healthy breakfast for you... Its broken wheat upma. No need to say that its healthy and when you add vegetables to it the upma becomes more tasty and its nutrition value too increases.

- Broken Wheat washed and drained -- 2 cup
- Onion chopped finely
- Green Chillies -- 2 chopped
- Curry Leaves -- few twigs
- Carrots -- 1 chopped
- Green Beans -- 1 cup chopped
- Green Peas -- 1 cup
- Mustard Seeds -- 1/2 tsp
- Whole Red Chillies -- 2-3 broken
- Turmeric Powder -- 1/2 tsp
- Coconut Scrapped -- 1/2 cup
- Coconut Oil/ Vegetable Oil -- 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat some oil in a kadai and crackle mustard seeds in the oil. Add red chillies and saute a little.
- Now add the chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves till the onions are just soft.
- Now add the salt turmeric powder and all chopped vegetables and saute well till the vegetables cook a bit.
- Add the Broken Wheat and saute well for about 2 min.
- Add about 3 cups of water and let it cook in low heat..
- Check for the salt right now and add if needed.
- Now when the upma is cooked add the scraped coconut to it and garnish with curry leaves and fresh coconut oil.
- Serve hot for your breakfast.
