BLACK FOREST CAKE




INGREDIENTS:

Ingredients
  1. Maida ( All purpose flour) – 1 cup
  2. Sugar – ¾ cup
  3. Curd – ½ cup
  4. Egg – 1 no
  5. Cocoa powder – 1/3 cup
  6. Butter – ¼ cup ( if you prefer)
  7. Baking powder – ½ tea spoon
  8. Soda Powder – 1 tea spoon



METHOD:
  • Put all the ingredients together and blend it in a mixer to become a batter for 2 minutes. 
  • Pour this batter in the Pyrex dish and bake it in 400 degree Celsius for 8 minutes. Cake is ready.
INGREDIENTS FOR FROSTING:
  1. Whipping Cream  --  2 cups
  2. Sugar Syrup  --  1/2 cup
  3. Chocolate strings  --  1 cup
  4. Chocolate decoratives as per your requirements
  • Now after your cake has cooled cut it into halves using a sharp big knife now you will get two equal round cakes not semi round!
  • Now whip the cream nicely till stiff peaks.
  • Next sprinkle some sugar syrup in both the cakes and then add nice scoopful of whipped cream and layer it nicely over the cake.
  • Now place the top part of the cake and then add the remaining nice thick layer of cream and then add the chocolate decoratives. I have used strawberry pieces also.
  • Refrigerate it till it sets and serve!
